- Start & End times
September 25, 2017 - September 26, 2017
1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
We received word on August 30 that Dr. Kleinig is scheduled for angioplasty on Sept 1 in Australia (August 31 here in the US) to address blockages in several coronary arteries. While we are of course disappointed that he will be unable to travel to the US, we rejoice that his physicians have detected and are treating this condition in a timely fashion. We invite you to join all of us in prayer that our heavenly Father would graciously attend Dr. Kleinig and the medical personnel who care for him so that he may be restored to health in accordance with His will.
However, we’re happy to announce that this Sept 25-26 Spotlight will move forward, as scheduled. In Dr. Kleinig’s absence, DOXOLOGY Executive Director for Spiritual Care Dr. Harold Senkbeil will be teaming up with Dr. Harold Ristau of the St. Catherine’s seminary to lead the conference.
Demons and the Ministry of Deliverance
Dr. Harold Senkbeil, Executive Director of DOXOLOGY
Dr. Harold Ristau, professor, Concordia Lutheran Theological Seminary, St. Catharines, Ontario, CA
Dates: September 25 and 26, 2017
Place: Chiara Center — Springfield, Illinois
What is this pastors’ conference about?
Instances of demonization have increased in recent times and are likely to increase even more in North America with the growing moral and spiritual disorder in the church and the family. Dr. Harold Ristau and Dr. Harold Senkbeil intend to explore the Biblical teaching on the subject from a Lutheran perspective and discuss the diverse character of demonization, its varied causes, and the appropriate remedy in each case. Their focus will be on the extraordinary ministry of deliverance in severe cases of demonization. They will offer pastoral advice on the practice of spiritual discernment, preparation for pastoral engagement in deliverance, appropriate engagement with a demonized person or place, and ongoing pastoral care for those who have been delivered. The goal of this Spotlight is to equip pastors to exercise the ministry of deliverance confidently as a normal part of the life and mission of a congregation.
