What is the pastors’ conference about?
Instances of demonization have increased in recent times and are likely to increase even more in North America with the growing moral and spiritual disorder in the church and the family. Dr. John Kleinig and Dr. Harold Ristau intend to explore the Biblical teaching on the subject from a Lutheran perspective and discuss the diverse character of demonization, its varied causes, and the appropriate remedy in each case. Their focus will be on the extraordinary ministry of deliverance in severe cases of demonization. They will offer pastoral advice on the practice of spiritual discernment, preparation for pastoral engagement in deliverance, appropriate engagement with a demonized person or place, and ongoing pastoral care for those who have been delivered. The goal of this Spotlight is to equip pastors to exercise the ministry of deliverance confidently as a normal part of the life and mission of a congregation.
