Take Heart!
Strength and Confidence for Demanding Days
A Retreat Presented by DOXOLOGY and the LCMS Office of National Mission
June 7 – 9, 2021
The Leadership Center — Aurora, Nebraska
The “Take Heart!” retreat provides an excellent opportunity for respite, rest and renewal for pastors. This is a gift that heartens not only the pastor attending the event, but also enhances his subsequent influence and counsel for brother pastors and for his parish. The retreat pays dividends that multiply the positive outcomes exponentially.
This is an advanced educational training experience intended to provide respite, rest and renewal for LCMS pastors. “Take Heart!” underscores four major emphases for healthy ministry:
- Sustain the work of faithful, confident pastors as they serve their parish
- Diagnose existing challenges of ministry
- Respond confidently to provide strategies, insight, and assistance, as needed
- Equip pastors with essential spiritual care and psychological resources
This retreat will provide encouragement for ministry, enhance confidence in ministry and will strengthen pastors for ministry during the chaotic days of COVID-19 .
