“Dying Well in Jesus: Soul Care for the Dying, the Caregivers and the Mourners”
February 5-7, 2024
Lindenwood Retreat & Conference Center — Donaldson, IN
DOX II 2024 may be among the best conference programs we have offered to date (which is no small claim)!
This conference seeks to examine the path of soul care for the dying, their caregivers, and those who mourn. We may well have called the conference “Awaiting the Resurrection” as the speakers’ emphasis will always be pointing to the comfort, hope and saving love of God in Christ Jesus.
Our gifted panel of speakers will share Biblical wisdom, historical insights, pastoral experience and valuable guidance for under shepherds who are charged with caring for all those who suffer, those who die in Christ, as well as those who have cared tenderly for the dying and now mourn a crushing, life-changing loss.
The conference will discuss the countless facets of end-of-life comfort and care, providing a nuanced understanding of spiritual implications which accrue from a life that may have been taken captive by despair, loss, fear, hopeless and progressing physical disabilities.
Pastors will find that “Dropping Dead in Jesus” will equip them to navigate the complex terrain of grief, explore the role of faith in coping with mortality, and shed light on the invaluable contributions of caregivers who walk alongside the dying, providing not only physical support but care for the soul, as well.
Naturally, the conference will provide rich worship, encouragement, counsel and spiritual refreshment throughout the event.
